Well we spent the weekend at Brereton Lake in the Whiteshell and we had a blast. We usually go there about three or four times in the summer and rent a boat. The guy there already knows us by name. This year all his boats were broken so we couldn't rent one. Instead we went to Rainbow Fall at white lake. This place is so pretty and since it is a spawning area for walleye we usually have really good fishing. The first day we were there Jordan caught a pike. We took it back to our site and had it for dinner. First time I had ever tasted pike and it was good. The next morning Jordan caught a walleye right off the shore from our campsite. We had it for breakfast with hash browns and eggs. Sunday was our best day there and it was so nice out. While we were there i caught a rock bass, a sucker and a walleye. We had that one for dinner. I had such a great time out there and can't wait to go back.
Today I was back on track with running and did a slow 3 kms. Winds here were gusting to 50 kms and a couple times I had to run against the wind which was pretty hard since I felt like I was going backwards. I am hoping the wind won't be so bad tomorrow so I can have a better run. I sure missed it on the weekend, but I couldn't imagine running out camping and not having a cool place to go after.
Next week marks the last week at my current job before starting a new one the following week. I am so excited and hoping that it will be all I want and more.
