Trying To Put Running Into Full Swing

Well I am trying to get my butt in gear and get to running at least 3 times a week again. It's much harder than I thought it would be. I went for my first run last Sunday and it felt good to be hitting the pavement. My Nike + isn't working right now though. The sensor seems to have decided to die and therefore I have been running without it. :( I sure paid for the run the day after! I was so sore and in pain, but stretching helped so much! I put in 2 Kms, which is a good start. Tonight, I plan on doing the same if not more. The one thing that my Nike + was super helpful with was knowing how fast I was running. With it I was able to keep track and not over do it, and run further. Stupid Nike +. I am hoping to have a new one in the next few weeks.

The fiance and I have been working hard at trying to eat healthier and so far so good. We went out for dinner on Monday night for a bit or Celebrating (more on that a bit later) and both ordered salads. Last night we had a homemade shrimp salad with roasted red pepper and homemade dressing. It turned out so good and we will be making it for sure again. Tonight, we are having homemade pasta sauce with whole wheat pasta. I can't wait!! I think it probably a good idea to start eating better now rather than later!

On the wedding side, our original plans for a wedding location fell though and we have now looked at and book a completely different place. It isn't as nice and the tent was going to be, but we are going to do some of our own decorations and make it as nice as possible. A major plus is that we are saving a bunch of money, which means it can go towards other stuff. I am getting really excited and kind of wish the wedding was this year and not next. But we need to save and I understand that's important.
